Nationwide event to be held in the Garden Jurug (Solo Kuto beautiful board) on 26 December, certainly very festive and we hurt when humanitarian assistance in this case the Indonesian Red Cross in particular. A range of events will be carried with very lively and will be opened by the Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross that Mr Jusuf Kalla. It seems that this event will be attended by over a thousand Red Cross volunteers from different regions of Indonesia. Because the show coincides with the tsunami in Aceh in December 2004, cash only they who had served in Aceh was largely attended.
Other communities outside the Indonesian Red Cross was allowed to present possible, because the theme is a national volunteer day. Special memories for me personally is when the event occurs earthquake in Central Java and Yogyakarta on May 26, 2006. Served the longest period in my opinion, because nine months I lived in the District Dlingo Bantul Yogyakarta. Tasks like what the hell are doing in there? Among these are the people associated record number of family members, health conditions and their homes. But the main focus lies in building shelter which is a collaboration between the Indonesian Red Cross - International Federation of Red Cross - University of Atmajaya - Sanata Dharma University.
The four institutions have their respective roles but related, where the coupling Atmajaya and Sanata Dharma University is helping to assess the construction of residential home construction and design that will be constructed of bamboo. To manufacture these temporary occupancy models are volunteers who come from the Command Post Mangunan Dlingo Bantul District. They are noisy Maryanto, Sigit, Panjul, Somad and Misno. Thank God the pilot project was successful, even applied also in West Java earthquake around september 2009.
