Proclamation of Volunteer Day in Solo Indonesia

A total of 10 000 volunteers coming from various regions in Indonesia will attend the launching of Indonesia Volunteer Day on December 24 to 26 2011 in Park Balaikambang Solo.

The declaration of Indonesia's Volunteer Day will be conducted by the Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Jusuf Kalla.

Some 10,000 volunteers who will attend the launching of Indonesia Volunteer Day was also attended basic first aid and other humanitarian activities, said Secretary of PMI Sumartono Surakarta Branch, in Solo, on Monday.

He said as many as 10,000 volunteers consisted of members of the PMI level of Primary School (SD), junior high school / vocational school, students and the public. "Through this activity we also expect from members of the volunteer blood donors will be good," he said.

Humanitarian activities such as this does need to be built early on, so they will want to know about humanitarian and social issues are still many entanglements of this nation.

Meanwhile, for New Year's Week activities in 2012 which was originally held in the Garden Balaikambang Solo, with use of the site as the launching of Indonesia Volunteer Day, are canceled despite a number of enthusiasts who will enliven the event many have signed up. [Read More...]
